About
Disparate came into being with the bold goal of inciting ground level debate about the world we all inhabit and how it is shaped. It brings together ideas from people from all walks of life whether academically educated in subjects related to the built realm or not.
We recognise the importance of the built environment; it is the only thing that affects us on a daily basis. Its development is based on societies needs as dictated by politics, economics, as well as taste, but we live with the effects long after policy and fashions move on.
Everyone has a vested interest in the built environment and this magazine is a place for everyone to have a chance to read other people’s thoughts and to add to the discussion.
It is non-political, with no single polemic. All content is generated by contributions from readers and is published on merit not status.
Disparate is a free magazine, all issues can be downloaded from this site and wide distribution is encouraged.
